1. Pursuant to the order dated 13th October, 2023, when Rule was issued under the Calcutta High Court Contempt of Courts Rules, 1975 read with the Contempt of Courts Act, the respondent/alleged contemnor is present in Court in person and his presence is recorded.
2. Mr. P.S. Raman, learned senior advocate appearing for the respondent/alleged contemnor requests reasonable time to file a comprehensive affidavit
bringing on record all the relevant facts to support his contentions.
3. Let such affidavit be filed not later than 15th December, 2023 after serving copies on the counsels appearing for the other side. Reply, if any, by the applicant and other parties be filed by 5th January, 2024.
4. Let the matter be listed for directions on 8th January, 2024.
5. The learned advocates for the parties are requested to prepare one paper book containing all the orders passed in the writ petitions as well as in the contempt application in seriatim with index page numbers.
6. The learned advocates appearing for the parties are also requested to prepare a common informal paper book or a convenience set containing all the relevant documents including pleadings etc.
7. On 8th January, 2024, the Court will fix a date for commencement of the hearing of the matter subject to the convenience of the learned advocates appearing for the parties.
8. The presence of the alleged contemnor is dispensed with for the present with the observation that he shall be present in Court as and when required.
