(Via Video Conference) Mr. Mahadeb Sarkar, Mr. Bikash Chowdhury ... for the petitioner Mr. Pinaki Dhole, Mr. Avishek Prasad ... for the State The limited prayer of the petitioner is for a direction on the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education), North 24-Parganas to consider the representation made by the petitioner for pension and other retirement benefits. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that despite the representation being made on 5th October, 2020, there is no response from the respondent No. 4.

The learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is not qualified to receive the pension since the petitioner does not have the required length of service.

This court is, however, of the view that since the concerned respondent has not even responded to the representation, the respondents should be directed to take a reasoned decision upon hearing all concerned parties on the

representation made by the petitioner within six weeks from date.

Copy of the reasoned decision shall be given to the petitioner within a week from which the decision is taken. WPA 14328 of 2021 is disposed of in terms of the order.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
