The petitioner prays for renewal of his passport. 2.

On behalf of the Union of India, instructions dated July 10, 2025 placed before this Court reveals that on May 19, 2025, the petitionerapplicant visited the office of the Deputy Passport Officer and submitted a request letter for closing his passport application so that he could apply for a new passport soon.

As per the request of the petitioner, the application for renewal of his passport being No.CA1076050447923 has been closed. The petitioner is required to apply afresh for reissuance of the passport. 4.

Learned counsel for the State relies upon instructions forwarded by the Inspector-inCharge, Harischandrapur police station dated July 13, 2025 wherefrom it appears that there is a mismatch between the date of birth recorded in the petitioner's previous passport and that of the Aadhar card submitted by the petitioner at the

time of making the application, and that there are criminal cases pending against the petitioner. 5.

As the petitioner has sought for closure of his application for renewal of his passport, accordingly, no further order pertaining to his relief can be passed in the instant writ petition. 6.

The writ petition stands dismissed.
