The affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.

The petitioners seek 'A' category scale of pay. They approached the Court by filing writ petition being WPA 7713 of 2024 (Kingsuk Dey & Ors. Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.). The said writ petition stood disposed of by the Court on 15th April, 2024. Though all the petitioners in the matter of Kingsuk Dey (supra) stood on the same footing but some of the petitioners were kept out of the said order because they were from different districts. The Court was pleased to grant

leave to the petitioners to file separate writ petitions on the self-same cause of action before the appropriate Bench.

In the present case the petitioners are from the district of Murshidabad. They have obtained their qualification for getting the benefit of 'A' category scale of pay and are entitled to such scale of pay. Accordingly, the petitioners shall be deemed to have been qualified and entitled to receive the 'A' category scale of pay from the next date of conclusion of their D.El.Ed. training i.e. 17th March, 2019. Let the arrears of the petitioners be paid within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
