Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than 170 days and the only evidence collected against him is that he made a phone call to the defacto complainant in connection with the present issue.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

I have considered the material on record. The petitioner appears to be a member of the gang which is involved in duping persons by disclosing false identities. Three criminal antecedents of the petitioner have been pointed out by the learned counsel for the State wherein the petitioner has allegedly used different names to mislead the

victims. A racket appears to be working in the commission of the organized crime.

Considering the material on record and prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The bail application is disposed of.
