While deciding this writ application this Court directed the Officer-in-Charge, Panchla Police Station, Howrah (Rural) District to appear on November 8, 2021 in pursuance with the compliance report.

Mr. Subhasis Banerjee, S.I., Officer in Charge, Panchla Police Station, Howrah (R) is personally present in Court and has submitted the report which be kept with record. It would

appear from the report together with Annexure 'A', being the extract copy of the Panchla PS GDE No.-284 dated 08.10.2021 that the petitioner is now putting up in her house peacefully and she was given entry with all protection of the police authority and has no allegation against anyone.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that now the petitioner is putting up in her house with all her family members peacefully.

My attention is invited to the prayer - 'f' of the writ application whereby the petitioner has sought for direction upon the respondents and each one of them to provide compensation to the tune of Rs.10,00,000/- to the petitioner for the damage caused to her property due to mischief committed by the miscreants including the private respondent nos.11 and 12 after the post poll in West Bengal.

Mr. S. N. Mookherjee, learned Advocate General unequivocally submits that the petitioner may be entitled for compensation under Section 357A of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

In the context of the above submission made by both the parties, the petitioner may approach the appropriate authority under the Victim Compensation Scheme as provided under Section 357A of the Code of Criminal Procedure for

compensation on account of damage caused to the property of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ application being, W.P.A. 14243 of 2021 stands disposed of.
