1. Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record.

2. The petitioner, a student of Physics Honours in the Netaji Nagar Day College was unable to clear Nanomaterials Theory Paper of 6th Semester.

3. He has approached this Court seeking an opportunity to enable him to sit for the said Paper to facilitate him obtaining the Bachelor Degree.

4. Mr. Chatterjee, learned Advocate appearing for the University of Calcutta, has brought on record a notice of 15.12.2025, whereby the students whose registrations/ admissions were of the year 2018, 2019 and 2020 in B/A/B.Sc. Course of studies and have lost their last chance to complete their Course under the relevant Regulations, will be given one more opportunity to appear in the upcoming odd semester and even semester examination, which will be held in the year 2026 and to complete respective Course of studies without any precedence in future.

5. A copy of such notice dated 15.12.2025 as produced, is taken on record.

6. As the petitioner's registration is of the year 2019, the petitioner is thus, covered by the afore-stated notice of 15.12.2025.

7. The petitioner will submit his credentials with the Principal of the College, the respondent no. 6 herein, by 31.01.2026.

8. The Principal will immediately, by 10.02.2026 forward such credentials to the Controller of Examinations, University of Calcutta, who will take steps to ensure that the petitioner is afforded an opportunity to proceed in the next available 6th semester examination and obtain Degree upon being successful thereof.

9. Since the presence of the Controller of the Examination, University of Calcutta, is only for the purpose of carrying out the directions contained in this order, it is not necessary to hear the Controller at this stage.

10. The petitioner will, however, serve a copy of the writpetition as well as a copy of this order on the Controller to enable him to carry out the directions contained in this order.

11. With this direction, WPA 13464 of 2025 is disposed of. No order as to costs.

12. Urgent Photostat Certified Copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
