Affidavit of service filed by the learned advocate on behalf of the petitioner be kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent no.2 i.e. the Regional Transport Authority, South 24-Parganas in taking and/or communicating the decision of the said authority pursuant to a hearing taken by the said authority on March 20, 2023.

Mr. Dutta, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had earlier approached this Court by filing WPA 28117 of 2022 seeking a direction for consideration of his representation submitted before the relevant Transport Authority on November 17, 2022 for grant of Contract Carriage Permit. The said writ petition was disposed of by an order dated January 3, 2023 directing the Regional Transport Authority, South 24-Parganas to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated November 17, 2022 within a month from the date of communication of the said order dated January 3, 2023 upon affording a

reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested persons including the petitioner, in accordance with law. It is submitted that upon such order being passed a hearing was taken, upon issuance of a notice dated March 9, 2023 by the Secretary, the Regional Transport Authority, South 24-Parganas but no decision has yet been communicated to the petitioner. Being aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the instant writ petition.

Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the material on record, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 i.e. the Regional Transport Authority, South 24-Parganas to communicate the result/decision of the hearing taken on March 20, 2023 as expeditiously as possible but not beyond a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Needless to mention that the decision should be reasoned one in terms of the order dated January 3, 2023 passed by this Court in WPA 28117 of 2022.

WPA 13469 of 2025 stands disposed of with the above observations.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
