As directed by the order dated July 17, 2023, Mr. Basu Mallick, learned Additional Government Pleader files affidavit of the School Education Department, Secondary Branch, Government of West Bengal, let it be kept with the record.

It appears from the said report that the Assistant Secretary to the Government of West Bengal vide Memo No. 822-SE/SED-17099/70/2023-LAW SECDept. of SE dated June 13, 2023 has requested the Chairman, West Bengal Central School Service Commission to issue TET Certificates for lifetime afresh and to revalidate the old certificates to the said effect after thorough checking and verification. Ms. Dubey, learned counsel for the Commission submits that responding to the said request the commission in its Website has uploaded a notice

bearing Memo No. 720/6088/CSSC/ESTT/2023 dated June 30, 2023 declaring that the validity period of certificates of Teacher Eligibility Test, already issued by the West Bengal School Service Commission would remain valid for life irrespective of the period mentioned therein.

In view of such development, no further order(s) need be passed in the matter. W.P.A. 13402 of 2022 is disposed of accordingly without any order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
