None appears on behalf of either of the parties. The instant writ petition is pending since 2005. The petitioner invoked the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution challenging computation of his retirement benefit. An order was passed by Coordinate Bench on 2nd August, 2005 directing the respondents to pay admitted amount of retiral benefit to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of the said order. Subsequently, the parties did not take any step.

Under such conspectus, there is every reason to hold that the petitioner already received his retiral benefit as per the order dated 2nd August, 2005 and at present he is not willing to proceed with the instant writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.
