The petitioner's prayer for higher scale of pay on account of enhancing her educational qualification forwarded by the school authority to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Hooghly is pending consideration till date.

As it appears that the prayer of the petitioner has been pending consideration at the end of the concerned DI of Schools for a considerable period of time, accordingly, without entering into the merits of the petitioner's application, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the DI of Schools (SE), Hooghly to consider the petitioner's prayer for higher scale of pay forwarded by the school authority in accordance with law and the prevailing guidelines at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner forthwith thereafter.

If the petitioner is found eligible to receive the

higher scale of pay, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken immediately thereafter.
