Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits though based on complaint of the petitioner, a criminal prosecution, being Domjur Police Station Case No.376/2026 dated 11th June, 2026, was initiated by registering FIR but dissatisfaction is expressed regarding progress made in the investigation. By filing this writ petition, inter alia, petitioner made a prayer for directing concerned police authorities to take steps accordingly.

Respondent nos.4 to and State respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Mr. Partha Chakraborty, learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 29th June, 2026 of Inspector-inCharge of Domjur Police Station and same is taken on record. Copies of the said communication dated 29th June, 2026 are made over to learned advocates representing the petitioner and the respondent nos.4 to 8.

It is disclosed in the communication dated 29th June, 2026 that based on the complaint lodged by petitioner, a criminal prosecution, being Domjur Police Station Case No.376/2026 dated 11th June, 2026 was initiated, on the contrary based on the complaint lodged by the private respondents, a criminal prosecution, being Domjur Police Station Case No.377/2026 dated 11th June, 2026 was also initiated.

Due to acrimony between the petitioner and the private respondents, complaint and countercomplaint were lodged, giving rise to two parallel criminal prosecutions.

It is also found from communication dated 29th June, 2026 that accused persons in aforesaid two criminal prosecutions surrendered before the Court below and obtained bail. 7.

In view of pendency of aforesaid two criminal prosecutions, concerned police authorities are directed to expedite the investigation and take the same to logical conclusion by submitting report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

However, petitioner and private respondents shall be at liberty to approach jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
