Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the wife of the deceased and has been falsely implicated. Trial has commenced. Her further detention is not required.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. The statement of witness under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicates the petitioner. The petitioner appears to have called the victim to her house after which the dead body of the victim was recovered. Trial is in progress. Vulnerable witnesses are yet to be examined. Offences, if proved, shall attract mandatory life imprisonment.

Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
