1. The petitioner alleges in this writ petition filed as a public interest litigation that the Pradhan of the Kabilpur Gram Panchayat/respondent no.7 has illegally awarded contracts in favour of certain persons and even before the work was completed, the entire payment has been released.

2. Since, the writ petition has been disposed of without calling for affidavits, the allegations made in the writ petition are not gone into.

3. However, there will be a direction to the respondent no.4 i.e. the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jangipur, having office at Manisha Road, Rampura, Raghunathganj, District - Murshidabad to consider the representations given by the petitioner and other members of the Gram Panchayat and take action in accordance with law after notice to the Pradhan of the Panchayat viz. the respondent no.7.

4. The petitioner is directed to submit copies of the representations along with a copy of the order to the Sub-Divisional Officer for compliance of the above direction.

5. The direction shall be complied with after notice to all concerned including the respondent no.7 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the representations.

6. With the above observations/directions, writ petition stands disposed of.

7. No costs.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
