In the matter of : Purbasha Banerjee ..... petitioner Mr. Abhijit Ganguly Ms. Mitul Hajra .....For the petitioner The petitioner/wife has filed this revisional application for expeditious hearing of the Criminal Appeal No. 99/2019 under Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 17th Court, Alipore, South 24-Parganas. By the said appeal the husband/opposite party no. 2 challenged an order dated March 2, 2019 passed under Section 23(1) of the said Act, whereby the learned Magistrate in the Court below directed the opposite party no. 2 to pay a monitory relief of Rs.8,000/- per month for the petitioner and Rs.4,000/- per month for her minor daughter. It has been submitted by Mr.

Abhijit Ganguly, learned advocate for the petitioner that by an interim order passed in the said appeal, the maintenance order for the petitioner has been stayed by the appeal Court. This appeal is pending for about two years before the learned Sessions Judge in the Court below. In view of the aforesaid facts, I dispose of this revisional application with a direction upon the learned Judge in the Court below to make an endeavour to dispose of the appeal in finality, preferably, within a period of six months from date without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

Since the opposite party no.2 shall not be prejudiced by this order, this revisional application is disposed of without giving a notice to him.

With this observation, the revisional application being CRR 1788 of 2021 is disposed of.
