This instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction upon the respondent to provide necessary information to the petitioner as sought for vide his application under Section 6 of the RTI Act, 2005 on 21st August, 2022 as expeditiously as possible.

Learned advocate for the respondent no.2 submits that SPIO has already been informed/ replied vide order dated 10th September, 2022.

Being aggrieved by and dissatisfied with the said information, the petitioner filed First Appeal before the appellate authority. The said appeal was dismissed by the first appellate authority vide order dated 25th November, 2024. Again the second appeal has been filed by the writ petitioner before the second appellate authority under Section 19(3) of the RTI Act, 2005. 6.

In view of the facts, no useful purpose will be served in keeping this application pending for adjudication. The second appellate authority is directed to dispose of the appeal in view of the provisions as stipulated in the RTI Act, 2005 at the earliest in accordance with law and inform the result to the writ petitioner immediately.

With the above observation, the writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
