None appears for the private opposite party despite service. It is shocking to note that the proceeding being G.R. 1720/2012 corresponding to Special Case no. 52/2014 has been pending before the learned Judge, Special Court cum Additional Sessions Judge, 2nd Court at Alipore since 2014. Several dates for consideration of charge were fixed by the learned trial Court despite which charge has not been considered till date.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that 25th March, 2025 has been fixed for consideration of charge. Keeping in view the age of the proceeding, the learned trial Court is directed to take necessary steps for consideration of the charge on the next date of hearing fixed before him peremptorily and conclude the trial within six months thereafter.

The prosecution and other stake holders are directed to render all possible assistance for disposal of the case within the stipulated time frame positively.

In the event the proceeding is not concluded within the stipulated period of time, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court afresh.

The revisional application is disposed of.
