Sabyasachi Chatterjee, learned counsel appears for the petitioner. None appears for the respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the period of contract of excavation of sand which was initially given to the private respondent, is over. It is learnt that he is given another contract for future years. Apart from that the damage he has caused during the previous contract is to be assessed. For these reasons, the petitioners may be given liberty to approach the National Green Tribunal.

3. Nobody appears to oppose the prayer in the petition. The PIL is disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioner to file a proceeding before the appropriate forum.
