Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated. The victim lady has not named the petitioner as one of the offenders before the doctor. He prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record.

The victim lady has implicated the petitioner and another accused in her evidence before the learned trial Court. It appears that the petitioner was one of the persons who prima facie committed sexual assault upon the victim. Trial is in progress. Considering the material on record connecting the petitioner to the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is disposed of.
