The petitioners submit that the election of the Kashinathpur Samabay Krishi Unnayan Samity Ltd. has not been held, although the life of the Board of Directors expired on August 9, 2020.

Mr. Subhankar Das, learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the Co-operative Election Commission, submits that the Assistant Returning Officer has already been appointed. He assures the Court that the election process shall be concluded expeditiously.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the concerned respondents especially the Election Commission to ensure that the

election of the said society is concluded within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order. The allegations and counter-allegations are not gone into.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
