It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the land in question belonging to the petitioners was acquired in 1963 and there is no record available with the authority to show that compensation was paid to the petitioners for the same. Learned counsel for the State respondents submits that the State authorities are agreeable for direct purchase of the land in question from the petitioners at the present market value. The petitioners concede to the said proposal of the State authorities.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to forward such proposal to the petitioners at the earliest and conclude the entire proceedings for direct purchase of the land in question within a period of four months from the

date of communication of this order after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties including the petitioners, in accordance with law.

With the said directions, WPA 14331 of 2021 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
