1. Appellant is represented by the learned advocate.

2. In pursuance of the direction passed by this Court earlier on 3.4.2025, a report is submitted by the Superintendent of Police, Malda indicating that the respondent, namely, Sreemanta Mondal @ Roy has been expired during the pendency of this appeal on 22.08.2016. A photocopy of certificate of death of that respondent was collected and tagged with the report. The said certificate of death also affirms the death of the sole accused/respondent Sreemanta Mondal @ Roy.

3. As the appellant was informed about the pendency of this appeal, she is present before this Court.

4. The instant appeal is preferred against the judgment and order of acquittal dated 24.01.2000 passed by the learned CJM, Malda in connection with C. Case No. 1455 C/97, T.R. No. 24/98 by this appellant-complainant.

5. I have gone through the impugned judgment and order of acquittal passed by the learned Trial Court including the evidences brought on record. There is nothing to interfere with it.

6. Accordingly, this instant appeal be and the same is hereby dismissed on merit.

7. The judgment and order of acquittal passed by the learned trial court in connection with C. Case No. 1455 C/97, T.R. No. 24/98 is hereby affirmed.

8. Personal appearance, as directed by this Court, stands dispensed with.

9. Let a copy of this order along with TCR be sent down to the learned Trial Court immediately.
