Learned counsels for the State and the defacto complainant oppose the prayer.

I have considered the material on record. The petitioner appears to be the member of the gang who attacked the victims. One of the victims succumbed to his injuries. Charge sheet has been submitted. Eye witnesses who have implicated the petitioner and the co-accused are yet to be examined. In the event the petitioner is released on bail, possibility of witnesses being won over or intimidated cannot be ruled out.

Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
