The petitioner seeks issuance of permit in her favour for the route Rajnagar to Burdwan bus stand at Nanabhat. It appears that earlier a permit was issued in favour of the petitioner on the inter regional route Rajnagar to Panagarh Bazar and since the said route was not economically viable, the petitioner surrendered the said permit by a letter issued on 30th January, 2023. The application filed by the petitioner for issuance of permanent stage carriage permit along with prescribed fees on 26th April, 2023 is yet to be considered. The petitioner prays for a direction upon the authority to consider the same.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the application filed by the petitioner dated 26th April, 2023 within four weeks from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, in accordance with law.

The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioners within a week thereof. With the aforesaid directions the writ petition, being WPA 13679 of 2023 is disposed of.

There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties on usual undertakings. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
