Petitioner approached this court accusing respondent nos. 6 & 7 for having allured them and to that effect fraudulently deceiving the petitioners by Rs. 1.495 crores.

To that effect, petitioner informed the police station. However, the police authorities did not take any steps.

Today a report has been submitted by Mr.

Ghosh, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State which reflects that pursuant to the complaint, Durgachak PS Case No. 280 dated 22.12.2024 was registered for investigation. Police authorities have initiated recording of statements as well as sent notices to different authorities for collection of materials to establish the case.

Since the police authorities have already taken steps, I am of the view that the police authorities would exhaust their efforts and take the investigation to its logical conclusion. Further police authorities would ensure that the petitioners are not threatened and to that effect if any complaint is received, effective steps be taken in course of the investigation.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 14738 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
