The petitioner is a resident of Kamalpur Gram Panchyat. The petitioner along with other villagers have raised objection with regard to the scarcity of the supply of drinking water in the area and have prayed for installation of deep tubewells. The petitioner along with other villagers have also raised objections with regard to the condition of the roads which are not motorable and have requested for repair of the same.

Representation has been made to the Block Development Officer as also the district authorities. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Sub-Divisional Officer, Uluberia to consider and dispose of the representation being Annexure-P5 dated August 23, 2021. The prayers of the villagers for installation of more tubewell for supply of drinking water to the locality and also for repairing the roads must be considered with seriousness,

so that during the monsoon season villagers are not faced with any hardship due to water logging, etc.

Upon hearing the petitioner a reasoned order shall be passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Uluberia within a period of four weeks from date of communication of this order and the same shall be communicated to the petitioner. The panchayat authorities shall also be heard. This writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
