1. None for the parties even in the pass-over round.

2. The singular prayer of petitioner was for reducing his complaint into FIR for alleged commission of cognizable offence. Learned Single Judge opined that the petitioner has an alternative remedy for the said purpose.

3. The order of learned Single Judge is in consonance with settled principle which was considered in great detail recently by this court in Sourav Mitra vs. Swati Chakraborty Bhattacharya & Ors., reported in 2025:CHC-AS:2167-DB. The writ petition is not a remedy for issuing a Writ of Mandamus for registration of FIR.

4. Thus, the view taken by learned Single Judge is in consonance with settled principles and does not warrant interference.

5. The intra-court appeal sans substances and is hereby dismissed.

6. No order as to costs.
