The petitioners seek early disposal of a proceeding being G.R. Case No. 1820 of 2019 under Sections 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tamluk.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioners that petitioner no. 1 is working in the United States of America and he is the husband of the opposite party no. 2/defacto complainant. The petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are the father-inlaw and mother-in-law of the de-facto complainant/opposite party no. 2.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioners that because of the dilatory tactics adopted by the defacto complainant/opposite party no. 2, the trial is being deferred on different dates.

The case is at the evidence stage, and there are four witnesses in total to be examined.

The petitioners seek an expeditious hearing of the trial. In view of the innocuous prayer made in the petition, I dispose of this application with a direction upon the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tamluk, Midnapore East, to make an endeavour to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably, within a period of one year from date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. Since the de-facto complainant/wife/opposite party no. 2 shall not be prejudiced by this order, this revisional application is disposed of without giving any notice to her.
