CESC Limited and others Mr. Bidyut Halder, Mr. Indranil Halder .... for the petitioner Mr. Suman Ghosh .... for the CESC Limited The grievance of the petitioner is primarily that despite the petitioner having approached the respondent no.3, the Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO) of the CESC Limited, with regard to an objection raised by the CESC Limited to give electricity to the petitioner on the ground of apprehended splitting of load, the respondent no.3 has not been taking any steps in that regard. Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, it is seen that the grievance raised by the petitioner is indeed pending before the GRO. The purpose of justice would be subserved if the GRO decides the matter expeditiously.

Hence, WPA No.13618 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.3, that is, the Grievance Redressal Officer, CESC Limited, South West Regional Office, to decide the grievance referred by the petitioner, as annexed at page-13 (Annexure - P/3) of the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three weeks from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no.3, in accordance with law and upon giving adequate opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all concerned. The respondent no.3 shall act on the written communication of the learned Advocate for the petitioner, along with a server copy of the order, without insisting upon prior production of a certified copy thereof, for the purpose of compliance.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
