The Office-in-Charge, Missing Person Squad, Detective Department, Lalbazar, Kolkata has filed a report dated 30.01.2023. The same is taken on record.
It appears from the report that efforts have been continuously made to trace out the petitioners' brother Md. Obaidul Hassan. This Court has no doubt that the Rajabagan Police Station and the D.D., Lalbazar, Kolkata have left no stone unturned in the process of investigation.
This Court is satisfied with the efforts put in by the Rajabagan Police Station and the Detective Department, Lalbazar, Kolkata.
However, as a last ditch attempt to trace out the missing person, this Court directs that the D.D., Lalbazar should transfer the entire record of the
investigation of the missing Md. Obaidul Hassan to the CID, West Bengal.
The CID, West Bengal shall review the entire investigation as on date and take further possible steps into the matter to trace out the missing person. The CID, West Bengal may file final report in the matter and make copies thereof available to the counsel for the petitioners.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
