The petitioners have prayed for directions to take necessary steps to stop the use of Ro Ro vessels at Saheb Danga Balagarh Ferry Ghat.

4. The respondents filed their affidavit-inopposition. 5.

Mr. De, learned counsel for State by taking this court to page 4 of the said opposition urged that the petitioner no.5/Ganga Chowdhury was one of the bidders in the said e-tender process pursuant to which Ro Ro vessels were plying. Thus, petitioner no.5 was an interested party.

It was jointly informed by learned counsel for the respondents that the contract was operating between 22nd September, 2020 to 21st September, 2022. Thus, the period for which impugned contract was given and vessels were plying came to an end.

It appears that the petitioners have lost interest in this matter for the said reason.

Thus, we find no reason to keep this PIL pending.

Accordingly, the PIL is dismissed.
