The petitioners' representation seeking payment in respect of the work performed by the petitioners in terms of the work order issued by the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation on 6th March, 2020 is yet to be considered by the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation. It appears that the work order was issued in March 2020 and the time for completion of the work was 90 days.

There is nothing on record to show that the work was completed in terms of the work order.

As the representation of the petitioner is pending consideration, accordingly, without entering into the merits of the same, the Commissioner, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation is directed to consider the same in accordance with law and verify as to whether the work was completed by the petitioner in accordance with the work order issued.

A decision shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. If any amount is found due and payable, the same shall be released in accordance with law at the earliest.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
