Public Prosecutor Mr. Dipankar Paramanick ... ... for the State It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there is delay in trial. Accordingly, he renews his prayer for bail. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposes the prayer for bail and submits allegations are grave. Four witnesses have been examined.

We have considered the materials on record. There are materials implicating the petitioner in the murder. Four witnesses have already been examined. Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest.

Parties shall communicate a copy of this order to the trial court for due compliance.
