And In Re : Baharul Sekh ...... petitioner Mr. Tapash Kumar Bhattacharya Mr. Aviroop Bhattacharya ....for the petitioners in both the applications Mr. Arijit Ganguly Mr. Sanjib Kumar Daan ....for the State in CRM(A) 3175 of 2022 Mr. Abhra Mukherjee Mr. Dipankar Mahata ....for the State in CRM(A) 3357 of 2022 Two applications for anticipatory bail are taken up for consideration analogously as they emanate out of the same police case.

The in-laws of the victim are the petitioners in CRM(A) 3175 of 2022. The husband of the victim is the petitioner in CRM(A) 3357 of 2022.

The victim recorded a statement under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.) implicating the petitioners of both the petitions. She stated that she was administered poison. There are medical documents corroborating the administration of poison on the victim.

In view of the gravity of the offence, the need for custodial interrogation of all the petitioners cannot be overlooked. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the applications being CRM(A) 3175 of 2022 and CRM(A) 3357 of 2022 are dismissed.
