Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and State respondents. 2.

Accommodation is prayed for on behalf of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission.

A communication dated 5th August, 2025 of the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Jhargram is placed before this Court and same is taken on record. 4.

On perusal of the communication it appears there are 1076 students in the school where petitioner is presently working and there are 14 regular approved teachers and 2 additional teachers.

If Court proceeds on the premise that including 2 para teachers there are 16 teachers against 1076 students, in that event pupil teacher ratio is 67:1 which does not permit transfer of the petitioner on the ground of

distance. Moreover it appears that steps were taken by the concerned District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) on 16th September, 2022 whereas present writ petition is filed after three years on 20th June, 2025 and there is no plausible explanation of delay.

In view of aforesaid no relief can be granted to the petitioner based on transfer application which was made far back on 24th August, 2022.

Writ petition stands dismissed.

However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to apply for transfer, in accordance with law, provided pupil teacher ratio is improved.
