The petitioner is a resident of Baruipur SubDivision. The Sub-Division Controller, Baruipur have issued a vacancy notification Memo No.

426/SC/FS/BRP/24.

Mr. Huda, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the vacancy notification issued by the concerned Sup-Division Controller is incorrect. He submits that location of vacancy, central location Mouza and JL number are not matched with Gram Panchayat Bamangachi. The location should be within the Gram Panchayat Chaltaberia. He further submits that he could not applied for the licence. He further submits that the instant writ petition was filed with a prayer for necessary correction in the said vacancy notification.

Mr. Bandopadhyay, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the instant writ petition is infructuous, the petitioner who have a godown within the Chaltaberia Gram Panchayat seeks a mandamus upon the State to amend the vacancy notification, so that the petitioner may be accommodated. He submits that respondent authority cannot be directed to accommodate a particular person.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, it appears that the vacancy notification has disclosed central location to be Doctor Builders Laskar Para, Mouza & J.L. Kamaria-88 Gram Panchayat Bamangachi. P.O. Chaltabereia. P. S. Joynagar. South 24 Paragnas. It is the contention of the petitioner that neither central location comes under the Gram Panchayat of Chaltabria not within the Bamangachhi. It appears from the record that last date of submission of application has already been over on 10th day of August, 2024, some person must applied for the licence.

At this juncture, this writ petition after the last date of submission of application appears to be not tenable. Moreover, it further appears that the petitioner seeks mandamus to direct the concerned authority to amend the vacancy notification and to republish the same that too only to accommodate the petitioner. The petitioner has not demonstrated any reason how the vacancy notification is erroneous. Moreover, he has not placed list of Mouza

under Bamangachhi Gram Panchayat to substantiate his claim that public in general would be deprived by such vacancy notification.

Considering the same, I find no justification to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition being merit-less disposed of.
