Versus

The State of West Bengal & Ors.

Mr. Saibal Acharya, Mr. Dilip Kumar Shyamal ...for the Petitioner.

Ms. Jayeeta Sinha, Mr. Sandip Mandal ...for the State-respondents.

Affidavit-of-service is taken no record. Despite service, none appears on behalf of the respondent Nos.8 to 15.

It is contended by the petitioner that the Officer-inCharge, Daspur Police Station did not take any steps pursuant to the complaint filed by the petitioner on April 24, 2022.

The learned Advocate for the State-respondents submits that the report with regard to the issues, has not yet reached him.

Instead of keeping the matter pending, this Court is of the view that the Officer-in-Charge, Daspur Police Station must take appropriate steps on the basis of the complaint filed by the petitioner, as he deems fit and proper.

This Court has not made any observation on the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner as the same are entirely within the domain of the investigating agency. It is expected that the Officer-in-Charge, Daspur Police Station will dispose of the complaint of the petitioner in a free, fair and impartial manner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
