Mr. Arindam Banerjee Mr. Abhishek Banerjee ..for the petitioner Mr. Amitabh Shukla ..for WBSEDCL The petitioner claims an electricity connection at Holding No. 15, Natun Bazar (School Pukurpar), Ward No. 2, under Tarakeswar Municipality. The petitioner states that she is a tenant in respect of a residential premises at the said address.

Respondent Nos. 6, 7, and 8 are not represented. Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that the petitioner has not made any application in the prescribed form for obtaining an electricity connection in her favour. It is submitted that if such an application is made, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to submit an application in the prescribed form within seven (7) days from date. If such an application is filed, the same shall be considered by the appropriate authority of WBSEDCL in

accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks thereafter.

Accordingly, WPA 13496 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
