The petitioner complains that the police failed to take steps in response to the complaint lodged before the police in the month of April, 2024. The petitioner annexed the certificate issued by the Medical Officer, Paikpari R.H., Paikpari, Kolaghat, Purba Medinipur in support of the submission that the petitioner was brutally assaulted.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents relies on the report forwarded by the Officer-in-Charge, Kolaghat Police Station, Purba

Medinipur signed on 13th June, 2024 which mentions that on the written complaint filed by the petitioner Kolaghat PS Case No.405/24 dated 12th May, 2024 against all the FIR named accused persons have been initiated. All cases are in the process of investigation. The accused personally surrendered and obtained bail. The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the police to take prompt necessary steps to conclude the investigation in accordance with law. The police shall ensure that the life and property of the petitioner is not endangered in the hands of the private respondents.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the learned Trial Court for any further relief.
