1. Learned advocate representing the State respondents produces a status report from the Officer-in-Charge, Sabang Police Station, signed on 28th July, 2025 wherefrom it appears that the Sabang PS Case No. 157/2025 dated 19th May, 2025 under Sections 126(2)/115(2)/117(2)/109/303(2)(5) of the BNS has resulted in a charge-sheet being Sabang PS ChargeSheet no. 206/2025 dated 30th June, 2025 under Sections 126(2)/115(2)/117(2)/109/3(5) of the BNS.

2. The police has opined that during the investigation, charges under Section 303 of the BNS could not be established due to want of evidence.

3. The writ petition was filed by the petitioner on the allegation that the police was not investigating the case properly. As it appears that the investigation is over and charge-sheet has been filed, accordingly, there is no requirement of proceeding with the writ petition any further.

4. Let a copy of the charge-sheet be handed over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

5. It will be open for the petitioner to take further necessary steps, in the event the petitioner is aggrieved by the result of the investigation.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
