Petitioner submits he is in custody for 830 days. There is delay in trial. He prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits delay was due to systemic reasons and cannot be attributed to the prosecution.

We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is the husband of the victim lady. Victim made a dying declaration implicating him.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
