This is an application for contempt alleging willful and deliberate violation of the order dated January 20, 2023 passed in W.P.A. 13729 of 2022.

Mr. Mitra, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that though the willful violation of the said judgment and order has been alleged against Mr. Piyus Bera, the District Inspect of Schools (S.E.), Bankura and Mr. Randhir Kumar, the Director of Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance, Government of West Bengal, arrayed as alleged contemnor nos. 1 and 2 in the application for contempt respectively, but after service of the copy of the application the said contemnors have discharged their obligation under the said order by issuing the necessary pension payment

order, but Mr. Jiten Debnath, the Treasury Officer, Bankura, the alleged contemnor no. 3 is yet to discharge his obligation under the said order.

In view of such position of the matter, the petitioner is directed to delete the name of the alleged contemnor nos. 1 and 2 in the cause title of the contempt application. Mr. Vaisya, learned AGP appears on behalf of the alleged contemnors and submits that the Treasury Officer, Bankura shall take necessary steps within two weeks from date for compliance of the direction of the said judgment and order subject to compliance of necessary formalities, if any, by the petitioner.
