IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

Criminal Revisional Jurisdiction 01-05-2023 Subha Item no.29 Ct no.34 CRR 1838 of 2021 Miss Tanushree Roy -versus- State of West Bengal & Ors.

Mr. Saswata Gopal Mukherji, ld. PP, Ms. Manisha Sharma ....for the State.

The present revisional application was preferred for transfer of Domjur Police Station Case No. 696 of 2019 under Sections 447/332/334/337/354/120B/504/506/509 of the Indian Penal Code from learned C.J.M., Howrah to learned J. M., Alipore. The records of the revisional application reflect that the matter appeared on 20th September, 2021 when liberty was granted to correct the cause title. The matter again appeared on 27th September, 2021 when the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner sought time.

Mr. Mukherji, learned Public Prosecutor appears on behalf of the State.

Having considered that the case referred to being of the year 2019 and was at the stage of investigation when the petitioner approached this court when the chargesheet was submitted before the jurisdictional court, I am of the view that without any additional material it would not be fit and proper to accede to the prayer advanced before this court.

Thus, no interference is called for. Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 1838 of 2021 is dismissed. All pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
