The revisional application was preferred for expeditious disposal of Rishra P. S. Case No. 144 of 2016 dated 06.10.2016 wherein the case was registered under Section 498A/304B of the Indian Penal Code and the case was pending before the learned District and Sessions Judge, 2nd court, Serarmpore, Hooghly. It is seen from the record of the case that the date was fixed for evidence of PW-11. As such, the case was at an advanced stage. Having considered the period which has lapsed since the initiation of the case, I am of the opinion that as the Sessions Case being S. T. 05(07) of 2018 is pending, the learned trial court will try to dispose of the same as early as possible preferably by 30th June, 2024.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2138 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
