The demolition order was subsequently challenged through an appeal, which was dismissed. The revisional application against the order of the appellate authority was also dismissed on August 17, 2023, by this Court. Thereafter, a review application has been filed against the order dated August 17, 2023.

The learned advocate representing Respondent No. 7 submits that the deviation in question is minor in nature. Additionally, it is stated that the review application has been filed seeking the regularisation of

the minor unauthorized construction in accordance with the notification issued on July 27, 2023, by the Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Municipal Affairs Branch, Government of West Bengal.

In light of the foregoing, I am of the opinion that there is no basis for keeping this writ petition pending, as it seeks the implementation of the original demolition order dated June 11, 2018.

The petitioner in this writ petition, who is Respondent No. 2 in the review petition, shall be at liberty to contest the review application in accordance with the law regardless of the disposal of this writ petition.

Accordingly, WPA 14905 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
