And In the matter of: Qurban Mullick @ Korban Mallick @ Qurban Mallick .... Petitioner Mr. Ranjit Kumar Ray, Mr. Krishna Deo Das ...For the Petitioner This is an application for expeditious hearing of complaint case being C-2065 of 2012, pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 13th Court, Kolkata. It appears that the process has been issued, in this case, under Sections 323/420/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the case is at the evidence stage and the next date is fixed for cross-examination of the P.W. No. 1. It has also been submitted that there are total five witnesses to be examined in the case. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner further submits that the case had been filed in the year 2012, and the case should be heard expeditiously.

In that view of long pendency of the case, I dispose of this revisional application with a direction upon the learned Magistrate in the Court below to make an endeavour to conclude the trial as early

as possible, preferably within a period of one year from date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to the either of the parties. With this observation, this revisional application being CRR 1835 of 2021 is disposed of.
