Learned counsel for the alleged contemnors appears and relies upon a report filed by the engineers of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation signed on March 19, 2026 which mentions that the person responsible undertook self-demolition process for demolishing unauthorized portion and intimated the same in writing to the Corporation.

As per departmental inspection, it is seen that the unauthorized part of the building standing at premises no. 393/3F/4, Prince Anwar Shah Road, Ward no.093, Borough-X has been demolished in its entirety.

As the petitioner is not represented, the contempt application stands dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioner.
