For the alleged contemnors It is submitted by the learned Government Pleader representing the alleged contemnors that the orders dated 24th March, 2005 and 23rd September, 2005 passed in WP 6774 (W) of 1997, being the subject matter of the contempt petition, have been complied with. A bunch of documents have been made over to the Court in support of such contention. The said documents are taken on record.

On a perusal of such documents, it appears that the applicant/petitioner retired from service on 31st January, 2005 and has received the arrear claim on and from 1st June, 1995 till 31st January, 2005 aggregating to Rs.1,60,916/- in the year 2007. It also appears from one of the documents filed, being dated 23rd July, 2021, that the applicant/petitioner has passed away two years ago. No legal heir of the applicant/petitioner has taken any

step to proceed with the contempt application after the death of the applicant/petitioner.

In these facts and circumstances, the contempt proceedings is dropped by recording compliance of the orders, the violation whereof was alleged in the contempt petition. The contempt petition is, accordingly, disposed of.

Rule stands discharged accordingly.
