Petitioners complained that they have been subjected to harassment, torture and other inconveniences at the behest of the private respondents.

To that effect, information was furnished before the concerned authorities, but no steps have been taken. The specific contention of the petitioners are that they were physically assaulted and there had been death threats at the behest of the private respondents and in spite of informing the appropriate authorities no steps have been taken. Learned advocate for the private respondents denies and disputes the contentions and submits that a family feud with an oblique motive of grabbing the property has been the sole

motive for engineering the present set of circumstances.

Mr. Datta, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that hardly any case is made out. The same is a family feud. So far as the dispute relating to property is concerned, it would be the Civil Court which would be the appropriate forum to adjudicate such disputes. In view of the nature of the accusations and the time period which has passed if fresh information is furnished with the police authorities I direct them to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 14851 of 2024 is disposed of.
