The petitioner seeks an expeditious hearing of the Case No. N - 159 of 2019, pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge (Special Court under the N.D.P.S. Act, 1985) under Section 21(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the charge has been framed in this case and though the date for the hearing was fixed, the hearing has not commenced till date.

In this pandemic situation, it is not expected that the learned Judge in the Court below will be able to proceed with the case at a normal pace.

However, keeping in mind the innocuous nature of the prayer, I dispose of this revisional application with a direction upon the learned Judge in the Court below to make an endeavour

to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. The application being CRR 1920 of 2021, is disposed of.
